ARRIVAL

What began as a paint-correction and protection project developed into one of the most involved vehicles through the Forza studio so far.

The Mustang returned across multiple visits as additional work was added, allowing the vehicle to be refined progressively rather than rushing every stage into one appointment.

THE INITIAL CONDITION

The Initial Condition

The paint carried defects requiring multi-stage correction, and some water and soot etching remained especially stubborn. The rear wheels also carried significant paint splatter that required additional remediation rather than a standard clean.

As the project developed, the scope expanded beyond the paint — into wheels, interior, styling and protection — turning a single correction appointment into a multi-visit preservation project.

THE WORK

Correction, Wheels, Interior & The Final Stage

Visit One began with a three-step paint correction to refine the defective paint, followed by a glass polish. The rear wheels carried significant paint splatter, so they were sanded and polished back before wheels-off preparation allowed the wheel faces and barrels to be ceramic protected, along with the brake calipers.

Inside, the cabin was detailed and prepared, then the leather and vinyl surfaces were ceramic protected, and the exterior glass was coated as well. Door-cup PPF was added during the project as one selective protective measure.

Visit Two brought the cosmetic refinements and the final protection stage. The racing stripes were installed, the brake calipers were refinished in red with Brembo detailing, and once the paint received its final preparation, Obsidian S1+ 7-year graphene ceramic coating was applied to the paint ahead of a final inspection and presentation.

WHY THIS APPROACH

The Reasoning

Deferring the paint ceramic coating until Visit Two was a deliberate sequencing decision rather than an omission. With the racing stripes still to be installed, protecting the paint first would have meant working around a major refit later — so the protection stage was planned around the striping and allowed appropriate cure time instead.

Window tinting was originally intended to form part of the project, however a window-control fault prevented the tint from being completed during the vehicle's time with Forza.

OUTCOME

The Result

The Mustang left the project with substantially refined paint, protected wheels, glass and interior surfaces, new visual details and Obsidian S1+ protecting the finished exterior.
