HSV Clubsport R8
Refining a finish carrying the history of a previous respray.
The strongest safe improvement the existing finish allowed — not an arbitrary level of defect removal.

This Clubsport travelled approximately nine hours to reach the Forza studio.
Unlike a vehicle carrying only ordinary wash marks, this car presented a more complicated paint history due to a previous home respray. That changed the way the correction had to be approached.

A Previous Respray
Not every correction begins with factory paint. Previous repairs and resprays can create differences in paint thickness, texture, clarity, hardness and the way defects behave under correction.
The goal was not to chase an arbitrary level of defect removal. The objective was to extract the strongest safe improvement the existing finish allowed.

Correction Around the Respray
The existing finish was inspected carefully before any correction began, so the limits of the resprayed paint could be understood properly.
Correction and refinement was then carried out with judgement and restraint — working around the complications created by the previous respray rather than blindly applying the same process used on every vehicle. The corrected finish was then sealed with a coat of Magnum Luminous X borophene coating before final presentation and delivery back to its owner.

The Result
The existing resprayed finish was refined as far as its condition safely allowed, improving clarity and presentation without pretending every historical defect could or should be removed.
The work concluded with a coat of Magnum Luminous X borophene coating, sealing the corrected finish and supporting easier ongoing care.
