2026 BYD Shark

The Shark first came to Forza before its PPF installation so the surfaces underneath and around the film could be properly prepared and protected.

Once the external PPF work was completed, the vehicle returned to the studio for the final stage of its preservation program. This project demonstrates that the order of operations matters — protection was planned around work being carried out by different specialists rather than simply coating everything immediately.

When paint correction, PPF and ceramic protection all form part of the plan, sequencing the work properly matters.

Part One of this project — completed before the film was installed — included paint correction and preparation, wheels-off preparation with the wheel faces, barrels and brake calipers protected, and interior and glass protection. The full Part One story is documented separately.

On its return following the PPF installation, the Shark was washed and decontaminated and the film surfaces were prepared, with final surface preparation carried out where appropriate.

Obsidian S1+ ceramic coating was then applied across the suitable exterior surfaces — after the PPF installation stage, completing the exterior plan. The exterior plastics, canopy and engine bay were also protected, and the project concluded with a final inspection.

The Shark's preservation program was completed once the externally installed PPF returned to the studio and the remaining surfaces could be prepared and protected.
